I have lived in the local area for over 50 years, during this time I have been involved with local schools as a school governor, with Taverham Scouts and I have supported other local community groups assisting with grants and other dealings with local authorities. I have been the Divisional County Councillor for Taverham and Thorpe Marriott since 2009 I’m currently Member Champion for Apprenticeships, a board member of the Local Enterprise Partnership Transport Board and a member of the Local Enterprise Park Skills Board.
I was formally the Chairman of the Economic Development Sub-Committee as well as Director of Hethel Innovation Centre and Chairman of Scottow Enterprise Park (former RAF Coltishall) Members Working Group.
I take my responsibilities very seriously and am totally committed to working with the leadership team of Norfolk County Council to reform and approve the Council’s performance in all operational areas and to making the organisation more accountable to residents and businesses of Norfolk, focussing on the reduction of process and procedures and enhancing FRONT LINE service delivery. On a personal note, I live with my partner Sandra and our little dog Ralph, enjoying family life. I love gardening, walking, holidays, current affairs, politics, meals out and solving problems and assisting residents in their dealings with local authorities.
